Rick, how is it possible for you to take wood off the rectangular brace stock and it weigh more?

Yes, the coved "I" beams weighed about 15% less.   Sorry for the confusing wording.
I did this with brace stock cut from the same billet and weighed them before coving the sides to get this as "scientific" as possible.
