Ok but the picture will be sent later.
Evan Gluck : I was born in NYC in 1968 and started playing bass(and dismantling them) in 1980. Played my first pro gig at CBGB's when I was 13 with sunglasses and a fake moustache. Started working on 48th st in NYC in 1985 and during the 90's was recognized as one of the top guitar salesman in the US hence the baldness . At the same time I was gigging constantly with different jazz and jam bands. I started repairing guitars since the beginning and did work for hundreds of people before I realized this is what I truly love to do. After being the repairman at a store in the East Village of NYC for 5 years my beautiful new fiancee Ela (we married August 1 2004)convinced me to open my own shop from our Upper West Side apartment on Jan 8 2004. Since then I have amassed over 850 clients and have worked on more than 2300 guitars, basses, mando, etc...
It seems like a lot but I feel I am now hitting my stride and have become one of the top guys in NYC. I love it and have learned so much from my forum buddies.
Evan
Dave, I am a very proud papa indeed! Greatest thing I've even done in my life by far...
I couldn't agree with you more, Alain. It's a blessing way beyond words. And that was a very perceptive comment about my daughter being strong-willed. Man, is she ever. Most of the time I'm very happy about that.

Your kids are beautiful.
You sure look like a proud daddy there Todd and got every reason to be!
Thanks, Serge. I hesitated on posting that pic, actually, because it's not my favorite of her. So, now, in an act of completely inexcusable parental vanity, I'm going to post another one of her. Forgive me.

I enjoyed your bio, Evan. Congratulations on your growing business and your marriage to a woman who is, I'm sure, one of the other most wonderful women in the world.

That is a superb photo, Todd. Your parental vanity is very justifiable... She is going to break a lot of hearts.

Thanks for your kind words as well, Todd.

That's a character trait I want to instill in my children as well, strength of will...   We might regret it now, but later on, we'll be glad if they turn out to be leaders who follow their own hearts and minds and not followers, like lambs to the slaughter, so to speak. If Zak's character is any indication, I'm doing all right too. Cheers.

Thanks Todd and Serge, its nice to know what everyone looks like. I love the photo of your daughter Todd and I remember seeing your photos Serge. There are alot of babies and kids on this forum, at this point though everytime our mother inlaws mention having a baby I run and fix another broken headstock and my wife writes another screenplay, soon we will post some "new luthier" photos.
Funny enough when we got married we almost changed our names. My name is gLUck my wifes is THIER LU-THIER. Pretty neat huh? Saner minds prevailed.
Evan

Evan, not only have we gotten married around the same time but you were born the same year as my brother Martin! Now, isn't that too!

Great idea for your future child's name!
