What a nice thread to read early in the morning, this was the first forum I joined. I have joined a few others but this is the one that I spend most of my time on. I also remember everyone's name here. That says something.
Glad to be here,
Evan
Hmm....yes the waitress...wasn't she the one that Mr. Zoot kept taking pictures of?
Remember Bob?!
Don I remember the waitress. Unfortunately my wife made me delete her picture.
Hers's a few pic's that depict what the OLF comraderie is all about.

Not too sure, I can be pretty shy when I am not typing.
I remember John and the gentleman who I beleive also makes knives.
There is always next time Bob. Are you going to GAL in June?

Sounds great Serge, I understand Bob, I'm just going to plane it to this one. I get out of NY so infrequently because my shop is too busy. I am actually treating it as a vacation. The funny part is 2 years ago my wife and I drove all over the Northwest on our honeymoon and were in Tacoma a little bit after the last GAL convention. I promised not to miss it again!
Pat,

You are truly a gentle, caring, kind soul.

Takes one to know one!

I feel your pain......

Wait!! I'm just kidding... Don't throw that can of KTM-9 at me....
How did you know I have a nearly-full can?

Matt--It was/is my bro John's. And it really IS a nice guitar! As far as staying--glad to hear it. One of your guitars is one of the few proudly on display in the "My Pictures" section of my computer. (Downloaded, not bought ) We need the continued inspiration!

Kevin--I met you in Nazareth, PA way back in '98. You made the trip to Martin memorable... or at least more so. Very friendly, open and knowledgeable. Then to travel to NYC and find one of your guitars hanging at (I think) Sam Ash was a real treat.

Two first tier guys, right here at the OLF. This really is a great place.

Steve

Wow, thanks Matt for sharing those great moments with me and the rest of the gang, i'm jealous of you for meeting our OLF brothers, looks like you all knew each other forever! I'm also happy to hear you're staying with us, thinkin' of it, the's no better place than here so where would you have went?

That picture of your children listening to you playing guitar reminds me good memories of my past with my Mom and Dad.

I hope we can meet one day!

Serge

I'm sorry I hadn't joined this forum before the last ASIA symposium. Y'all look so chummy, and I didn't know any of you. We were like ships passing in the night...

I look forward to meeting some of you face to face in Tacoma in June. It'll make it more fun than ever.

Ha! All those lutherie superheros in their blue-collar, guy-next-door disguises--but we know the truth!!! Remember your cameras at the GAL Convention!
