Yes Shane, Kris does mostly guitar cases.

He builds for Tacoma, National and a few other very big name companies. He's been building cases for 30+ years and knows what he is doing.

He also sells to many of the local builders.

He did my first case for me from drawings, but it wasn't realy that difficult, just an OM.

His regular pricing is very good as well, just let him know of course that you are a builder. My regular cases from him is $85 Canadian and a custom for size (I doubt that the double would be this) is $120. Here are a couple of pics.

Oh and Shane, he does do the crush interior as well.

I'm sure you will be down here before you've built this guitar, so maybe some pics and a drawing you should bring (hum, I sort of sounded like Yoda there. I should go to bed) and visit Kris.

Hey Shane, Way to go, buddy. I'm sure that you are worthy of such an undertaking. You will knock the guy flat with what you show him. Go get 'em my friend.

Shane,
Could you forward me the email from Mike Doolin? I have often fantasized about making one. Thanks.

Hey Steve,

I just went to his website and hit his "e-mail me" button and filled in waht I was hoping for from him. That was Sunday night. I woke up Monday morning and he had goptten back to me already. That is the best way. Hey you could ask him to either come over here or if it was OK if shared the stuff he sent to me on the forum and I will post it but only with his permission.

He will definately get back to you! if not, PM me and I will certainly help you out.

Thanks

Shane

Rod, - I just got an OM from Morgan in Vancouver {the best value in great sounding commercially available acoustic guitars if you ask me}- a very nice guitar indeed - I cant stop playing it,
I could have never afforded to buy it, but luckily was able to make a trade with a Morgan dealer for some computer equipment!!!! Hes happy and Im happy!
I wasnt using the XPCrecording comp anyhow -
It appears my case looks very very ["exactly"] similar to those cases - so Im assuming he makes cases for Morgan as well. Good case, but I would have liked a latch in back of the case as well
Cheers
Cwood
