Ed and AC guys,
I have wondered, seeing as you guys live closest to me, and are tonewood suppliers, if you could tell me whether there are any other luthiers in the Victoria/Langford/Colwood/Saanich/Sooke/Esquimalt area
I was just wondering if there was someone I could touch base with locally?
Can you help me out? Appearantly there is a guy making archtops in my town, I cant find him though!!!!
Cheers
Charlie
PS I will be in touch for some bracewood and tops soon.

Charlie, you might want to contact Ed direcly, im not sure how much time he spends on the internet.

Also, when you get around to ordering tops from Ed, the HAA grade is excellent, probably the best buy for tops on Eds site. That is what I have most of.

Charlie,

Go to his site off the OLF sponsor list and email him your questions. He is a great guy, it might take him a little time to get back, like Lance stated, he does not have much time for the Internet. I have ordered one of the HAA tops from him and it was really nice. The quality on all the wood I get and the service from AC has been excellent.

Just received an email confirmation from him on my latest order.........great folks!

Good luck finding some guys in your area

Mike

Charlie. There is a good guitar shop right down town Victoria, Uptown Strings or something like that. They will know who builds around there. I only know of a bass violin maker who works there. If you are interested in people further up the Island and on the Gulf Islands (Salt Spring, Gabriola) I can give you a few names.
Good Luck

Shane

Another good recommendation for Ed. I love the unique red cedar tops he has from time to time. Bought quite a few. if you are looking for a top with some real character, check them out
