Hi there. Sorry... the name's Ryan... Marchand. Thanks for the welcome. I just started perusing the forum. Great info exchange here.

This idea of keeping the fans out of the path of the explosive fumes is quite intriguing. I'd imagine this opens up some more powerful and less expensive options as it seems the variety of fans that AREN'T explosion proof are endless (and less expensive).

And the baffle... makes total sense. Great idea!

yes thats the one, not explosion proof?
well It has a fully inclosed motor, and is made for use in grain silos so i figured it was about as safe a fan I could find.
again with the fan speed control i speed it up and slow it down to my liking.

I have the louverd baffle but dont use it, I made up and insulated cover for the inside of the fan when Im not using it. and when I am using it I use a furnace intake filter to catch over spray.

its a good unit
