Are the Allied Lutherie double-action truss rods any different than the LMI TRS series? (Other than the obvious price difference.) I've always used and been happy with the LMI rods in the past, but I would prefer to rely on a sponsor if there is no difference.

I just got a some. (Actually a dozen of them...cheaper that way)
They seem exactly the same. I still have one from LMI left, but from now on
I will use the Allieds. Much cheaper...a sponsor...and the same quality. If
anything I like them better!!!! Shiny Chrome!!!

I have both also. The Allied ones are chrome and the LMI rods are a little more consistent in quality control. All in all they will both work fine.
