Well I'd like to take a little moment to thank my good friend Hesh for what was probably the best tip I got on this 'build'...

On my first, I wasn't 100% happy with my neck/body joint. It's not bad but it's not excellent.

Hesh posted his method and it works like a charm. As most good solutions it's extremelly simple. You put a piece of sand-paper between the neck and body, press the neck down into the tenon pocket and pull on the paper. The shape of the guitar becomes your sanding 'caul' and you can't really go wrong... I made sure the fit was o.k. before gluing the heel-cap. I sanded/fit the cap the same way too.

This falls into the 'Why didn't I think of that!' category!

Here's how it turned out for me. Note: There is no finish on that neck in this picture.

Again, thanks Hesh!

Flossing the Cheeks!!! I love it!!!!

It sure works great.

She should be finished by Saturday. I just need to apply a few more FP session, attach neck to body, fret (I've done a few already), shape bridge ( ), install tuners, shape nut/saddle and string'er up!... Hmm, I also need to inlay paua dots in the FB and bridge pins...

On second thought, I think I'm heading to the shop after this post....
