I'm beginning a 5-String Acoustic Bass and I need a fingerboard. I was hoping to find a madagascar rosewood or Braz Rosewood. Or even another species as long as it has some nice wide stripes. Can anyone out there help me out?
Minimum dimensions: 28" x 3 1/4"
Thanks in advance.

I would expect that several of the sponsors could healp you. I usually buy lumber (rosewood, wenge, ebony, etc.) then resaw my own.

I have a car load of madrose fingerboards that will work for a bass. If a sponsor can't help you let me know.

I did try the sponsors this afternoon, but had difficulty in finding one large enough for a bass. I usually try to peruse the sponsor links prior to putting out an APB for supplies.

I have two Macassar Ebony that were ordered by mistake, nice boards wide stripes. We were shooting for Madagascar. Known dealer on west coast, can't think of his name. Marc Culberson, had to give the grey matter time to kick in.... Dickey38923.5483680556

J.,

You might want to send an e-mail query to our various sponsors. They often have things on hand that aren't listed as regularly available items.
