Yeah, it's probably pure vanity, but there is something special about looking through the soundhole of a custom guitar and seeing "This guitar handmade for John Doe, by ABC Guitar Company."   That never gets old.

I made my first purchase of zoot today for the first guitar..... some Malaysian ebony from Uncle Bob at RCTONEWOODS.com


here is my choice for the first guitar:



 I just got in a shipment of Lutz from Shane at High Mountain Tonewoods and will most likely use that for the top of this guitar. Right now I am thinking that it will have ebony bindings, fingerboard and headstock.
