Seymour is an absolute Tele fanatic; that's practically all he plays. Fender even did a Custom Shop Seymour Duncan model for him to honor his devotion to Leo's baby.

Tomorrow I'm gonna bite the bullet and order the stuff to finish this kit guitar out. If my choices don't work out, I'll do like all the other kitbuilders out there.... Ebay it and buy more Zoot!

Hey thanks to everyone for the great suggestions.

Oh, the body is solid ash wood, chambered to give it a different sound from a solid body. Can anyone describe that difference?

I sanded it to 220, stained it, sanded off the face the second time in my drum sander. I looked like dirty boots the first time. While better, I'm not completely happy with the face. I sanded and rubbed off a lot of the stain with 0000 steel wool and sandpaper, to give it a hand rubbed look, then hand rubbed about three heavy coats of tung oil on it.

If it's sticky tomorrow I may go over it with naptha and take a bit of the finish off. It was nice of the industry person to think of me and ship this too me. So, when it's done, she get's a pic of me on stage with it. Ha ha....... bd

I have made a few. I guess pickups are an individual thing, but I use the Fralin. Just a good full sound, but the amp sure has alot to due with that
