I have been a featured speaker at several symposia (computers in the woodworking industry, 20 years ago.) Anyway, I was paid nothing, and they sold tapes of the speakers presentations, for which I also received nothing. (It was up to me to take the "prestige" and spin it into a positive effect on my business.) This was all by design. I just mention this to note that the speakers at ASIA may not "own" the presentations or official tapes. It is whatever they have worked out.

Digital Photographers:
Use your highest JPG or RAW settings. While it is true that you will reduce the number of pixels to display the photos on the Internet (down to 96dpi), any printing chores will look best at 240dpi to 300dpi. It's easy to size down in pixels, but nearly impossible to size up without significantly diminishing the quality of the image. More pixels also offers more possibilities for cropping. When you shoot, fill the frame with your subject for most shots. Take an extra battery and memory card. A tripod will triple your chance of making a magazine photo editor smile.

Digital videographers:
If you don't have a tripod, you may want to consider one. For video, a head with fluid or air really smooths out the panning.

I'm particularly interested in the "black art" of voicing tops, and hope someone does a good job of capturing a topic this subtle. This is one demo that would probably be best taped in more of an intimate studio setting (without the crowd noises and big room acoustics.) I wonder if the presenter would be willing to demo again, specifically for a taping session?

Have fun! (wish I was there!)

Dennis
