Congrats Ron! What a great accomplishment huh? I'll bet it was a great feeling playing it for the first time!
Very nice job.

Fantastic Ron! I remember stringing my first up, I kept squinting as I strung it up expecting something to come flying off. Glad it held up, and a big congrats!

Ron,

You should be proud of this guitar and it is a testament to your careful but dedicated effort. The fact that you are planning numbers 2 and 3 so quickly tells a lot about your learning curve and comfort level. This forum is full of support and good advice and helps the neophyte builder to quickly become competent enough to make not just acceptable instruments but quite nice instruments. I look forward to the day that I can post my first guitar. My problems are no time, no money, no space, no tools, no skill, and my Wife who always has a long honey do list. None the less, I have learned so much about building a guitar at this forum that I know if I take my time, like you did, that I will do just fine. I also know that if I have issue while building that there are numerous poster here that will come to my aid with help and understanding.

Philip

Ron,

Fantastic job - you must be really proud. Nothing beats the sound of your first one when you string it up.

The start of a very slippery slope. Just keep those guitars slipping out and show us all the pics

WTG Ron. I am so impressed. Just goes to show what we grey beards can do when we set our minds to it.

My congrats to you, Ron! My first wasn't that good.
It's great to see another fan of cherry here, too. I love that stuff and use it a lot.

Great effort. As great as you felt finishing the first it gets even better with each one completed. I also love Cherry ...great choice.

Ron, congratulations to you sir, very nicely done. I love your logo and the notation of Serial No. 01 (you might want to change that to Serial No. 001). Can we get a close up shot of your headstock?

I note in the last pic she's sitting prominently on your bed, does that mean someone has been displaced Anthony Z38729.8252199074

Great work Ron. That rosette is very clean as is interior construction. I like the back and side wood. Cherry no?

Well done. I wish my first had looked that good.

Good grief...how do you first timers keep turning out these great guitars? I think maybe I'll just have Williams make one for me and put my name on the headstock. Hmmmm...

Great job man, beautiful axe.

Nice work, Ron. It doesn't look at all like a first effort. Everything is nicely
aligned.

Thanks again to everyone. I'm overwhelmed.

Roy, I wiped with a lint free cloth, let each thin coat dry
overnight and used steel wool between coats, and topped the final coat with lemon oil.

Wow! If I ever build a guitar I hope it comes out 1/2 that great. Great job. Keep going.

Anthony, the displacement is only temporary. It was so overcast here today that I couldn't get a good headstock shot without glare. I'll try again tomorrow. There is a picture in an early post when I first did the inlay, but I have no idea where it's buried. Maybe tomorrow.
