Some years ago I was working in a pulmonary physiology laboratory doing
lung function testing. My patient was being tested for exercise induced
asthma and had gotten skin testing that morning. I noticed several large
welts (wheels) from the pin pricks and one of the largest was cat dander.
The blunt Spanish doctor walked in and abruptly said "KILL DE CAT". The
"good" doctor walked out as fast as he came in and left me with the crying
young lady. We took a few moments to discuss the inevitable fact that she
would need to find a new home for her cat....true story.
