This has been very cool.

Any ideas/suggestions how the top should be braced?

If anyone is interested, I went to the MIMF and there is a thread in their library called "Bracing Pattern for Martin "00" Size Guitar" which also discusses "0's" and has a scanned picture of the bracing for an 0-18 top.

I updated the original post again...

I added a PDF version of the original size as George traced it, not scaled up to match published specs. This can be printed out on letter size sheets and taped together to make an accurate fullsize pattern.

The Martin O-18 was one I owned. I got it at an estate sale for about $50 in "59 or "60 sold it in the late 60's for a couple of hundred. I did the tracing befor I sold it so I could make more. The others are some I still own or are just interesting things that have come across my bench.

Wow, only thirty of 'em and George you had one. It's a real rarity. I wonder how many have been made since 1937. Anyway, it's a special thing to have in existance, especially now that we know a bit more about it.

How about bracing now? It would be cool to get an original type bracing in this baby. I'll take a look at the posts offered above.
