Ok! Which one of you idiots left the toilet seat up?!
I love it!!

Glad you've returned, Jeanne. I don't have a clue what's going on, but that's normal for me. We do appreciate your spark and refinement around here.

Why would "cabbage" be a term of endearment???    I love cabbage and I love my northern brother, Serge. Hmmmmm.

True endearment is steamed cabbage, great northern beans, and jalepeno cornbread. Mmmmmm! cornbread.

Ron

In my house, cabbage and nothern beans give you gas. But I can see how endearment and the "toots" can be confused.

Well, that is good news. Glad you sorted things out.

Once again being on the other side of the planet means I've missed everything. Maybe I'm just slow.

Real glad you decided to stick around

Hi Paul, You're not slow....just standing up-side down!

Thanks for your kind words.

BTW: What the heck is vegamite? Or is that "down-under" terminolgy for Ron's beans, cabbage, and cornbread? With the word "mite" in it I thought it might be explosive like dynamite.

Not to be confused with GAS.

Of course there are trade-offs in all endeavors, but some things are worth it!

Jeanne, since you will be sticking around, I wanted to invite you to the OLF Arkansas Guitar Get Together and shop tour/ burger blowout.

My wife will be around, she's an elementary ed teacher too. And she plays guitar and sings like a bird. So, do consider yourself invited to Arkansas, next Saturday, August 19 ten to four, come and go.

Jon B'ham agreed to come by and play and sing a bit plus eat a burger with us...

Ths effect is probably confined to Paul Woolson's house.

BTW, if anyone cares, the "dyna" in dynamite is from the word "dyne" which is a unit of force equal to approximately the weight of one mosquito!!!! It takes 100,000 dynes (or mosquitos) to equal a force of one Newton. Sorry, I need to practice as school starts back next week. (I hope that was nearly correct,
, we have real scientists on here.)

Vegemite is the food of the gods. Actually it's made of the crud left over from beer making. It was either end up, up to our necks in it, or learn how to eat it. I think you have to be raised on it from early childhood or you'd never eat it. It's also pretty good for hangovers - lots of B group vitamins.

In fact I had two vegemite sandwiches for lunch today. See how many other OLFers can say that!

Well Done Jeanne

I'm always a bit worried to post on your threads, as my spelling is truely terrible.

Glad you have decided to stick around, I don't know the circumstances of ehat offended you, but bear in mind the forum is one dimensional, so things can often be recieved in a different vain, to which they were sent.

Glad to see you Staying

Russ

I saw this only this morning and posted in reply to Serge's SOS. Thank goodness you have reconsidered. I, too, have found your presence enjoyable and refreshing. Our broad human base is only one of the factors that makes this forum so special. I for one also consider "Educators to be the gatekeepers of our future." I may have just made that up-otherwise someone let me know if I just ripped off some philosopher.MT

Thanks Paul -- I just spilt my morning coffee on some quilted maple

As an aside I have never understood the issue of leaving the toilet seat up ... its just as easy to lift it up as put it down
Jeanne...glad you worked it out. We need your wise and soft words around here to soothe the savage beasts in all of us. Welcome back!!!
Thanks JJ...and I know I will need all of the forum's input on building my guitars. The good and the not so good input all equate to wisdom for each of us!

I'm not so sure my words are soft and kind, but know I treat each person on the forum like I'd like to be treated....even the joking

That or get a big screen like Hesh...then you can see the forum from anywhere in your neighborhood!

Thank you very much for the invite! I am touched

I was just South this past week. At one point within minutes of Dothan!

I'm not sure I can make it, but I have been known to toss things into a bag and jet off. Although these days "jetting off" at short notice is nearly impossible.

Singing a little 2-part harmony sounds like fun

Are you sure a Yankee will fit in there

Hmmmm....and Jon will be there....I will give this more consideration. Thanks Jeanne38942.406412037

Ron, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were a teacher!

I start back the 29th . The students start back September 6th. This year I have 30 students and 1 aide for 2 hours per-day. Oh joy!

Keep that bit of information handy: If I ever get into a MacGuyver moment, I will be sure to look to you for help

Well, I will look to you all for help here shortly...with my first guitar that is October 1st is just around the corner!

Thanks Ron

Serge: I adore the GIANT smiley-face!

I think you and I should petition Lance for a few other emoticons. You have any thoughts as to which ones we need?

Afterall, if we are the "goodwill" ambassadors of the forum, we need some additional artistic emoticons!

What do you think!
