It ALL looks good, Lance.
Even the messy shop.
(Which makes me feel somewhat better, BTW.)

Steve

P.S.--go ahead and sand off the oxidation so we can get a glimpse of the true colors....
I've got a set like that, which has turned that murky brown over time, but when fresh is bright orange / yellow.

Lance,

Really special wood. Now, how about posting some progress pictures on that one? It's been a while since you've done that. Let's follow the coco through its journey--you've got plenty of time to stop and take pictures, right?

Carlton, ill do that, although I can have a tendency to lose focus and sometimes my building takes longer than expected BUT that said, Ill wipe up a web page and document this one if anyone is interested.

Thanks, Lance. I know you probably don't want to look like you're hoggin' your Forum with your own posts, but I, for one, miss the "in progress" reports from the Boss.

I'm all for congratulating Lance on his cool cocobolo, but is there really no one here who is interested in stabilizing wood?

Howard, I did email with Paul a few years ago about using Coco and his "heat treatment" He told me at the time it was done to bake the resins out for better glue adhesion. We never touched on the subject of stabilizing.
