Hey Chris, your picture didn't come through.

This router set I got has a built in speed control. Now I just need a couple $100 worth of bits and templets guide bushings

I got two tickets to see Eric Clapton when he comes to OKC in March.... I'm stoked. I've always wanted to see him live...

Thanks Hesh...The biggest advantage to it was getting the 1 3/4" nut width. Something I was always struggling w/ on a Martin Jumbo I have. One of these days I'll get a newer/better camera...Then, I can do some real Showboatin'!
This should greatly reduce the time I spend sanding.
WOW, Bob, that is some machine.    Why do I get a feeling that many of us own a piece of that sander?

Christmas was good this year. I received 2 Sorby paring chisels (1/4 & 1/2), a Varitas Mark II Honing Guide, and a small granite slab for sharpening!

Sweetie and Don Williams gave me a luscious set of mahogany for Christmas. If I could find the camera cord I would show them to you, BUT (grrrr!) . . . I can't at the moment.

I also have a new (new to me) PC fixed based router and a $50 gift card for Rockler. There is one on the way into Seattle that has nice toys.

My son gave me a tin containing a three disc set of Celtic music. Its a great compilation. I'm looking forward to putting them on my iPod, when I can pry them out of Sweetie's fingers. I moved too slow. They are going on Sweetie's iPod first.

Now if Sweetie's son and girlfriend could have beaten the storm in Denver and made it in, it would have been a perfect celebration. As is, its been pretty darn spiffy.

I'm off to go find that dang cable.

No "luthier gifts" for me this year. I had a hunch, so I have a christmas gift to myself from one of out most popular auctions sites in the mail. It is a Stanley Bedrock #604 1/2 in good condition, something I have always wanted. I have the right Hock iron here waithing for it!

That is BEEEUTEEFUL!

The Mrs. suprised me with four new butterfly chisels in white steel from Matsumura. The numbers indicating size in mm are something I stamped into them. The one you can't see on the right is 12mm

The 24 mm I had the rest are new. These chisels are great its almost like they can reach around corners...

Well, the long day is about over so i can mull over my gifts. By far the most interesting is from my lovely wife who is really trying to understand this new obsession with building my first guitar. Trying to show her support, she bought me a really nice set of nail guns. Yep, you read that right. Has a framer's gun, a finish nailer and a brad nailer. Now i just have to make a slight design change to that bolt on neck and figure how to get the nailer through the sound hole.

Merry christmas all!
Rob
