Congrats, John...that's good news for a lot of people in Wisconsin! They're lucky to have you becoming a Cheese-Head!

Now I have 3 OLFers to visit when I travel through! Looking forward to meeting you in person one of these days!

Man you guys are awesome. thanks for all the nice words. I'm sure I'm not
deserving, but thanks anyway.

Kevin- I'll be heading out the first week of march so I'll miss ya again!
Darnit. If you wee going to be in town on the 31st of March I'd give ya some
free Hornets basketball tickets, but sounds like you'll be gone by then. That
just means you'll have to come to WI and we will go visit Paul Woolson...

John:

You're moving to some beautiful country. Take your bikes, because that part of Wisconsin is bike riding heaven! Best of luck in your new endeavors.

Congratulations John
Now I am wondering how much of the technique you explained in your building tutorials will be adopted by the McPherson team.

Congratulations John. I'm sure this move had to be a difficult decision for you but now its full steam ahead.    Here is wishing you and your family a safe move and a prosperous future. Heaven knows that after all the help you've provided the rest of us you sure deserve it.

It's always nice to hear when a luthier gets a financial burden lifted off his shoulders, so good for you, John!

I'm sure that in fifty years knowledgeable people will be talking reverently about the "Mayes years" at McPherson.

So, yeah, whatcha gonna be doin': supervision, R&D, quality control, building guitars (with the coveted John Mayes signature inside)?

Good luck, and bring a warm coat and waterproof boots!

catalog within a few hours (actually within a few minutes, but slowly as there
is a LOT)

doing there... for starters building, but I have lots of ideas for them as
well so we will see what develops...

John,

Best of luck to you and your family. You're getting the best of both worlds, more family time and continuing to do something you love.

Thanks Jimmy. I've wanting to make it down to a LINT meeting but now looks like I won't be able to. darnit.

For everyone else there are still some things avaliable for sale at my online store. If you do purchase something be sure to push the "return to merchant" button at the end of the paypal transaction or the order will not fully go through.

Here is the link for those who missed it:
