I got a $40 gift card from Starbucks. Santa must be spying on me since I only recently started drinking coffee again.

Right about now this Christmas present is getting a little old, I think Shawn wins though...

I was up until 1am this morning painting so I could get ahead of the guys laying the wood floors (I lost). I have spent the last two weeks doing nothing but remodeling chores, installing appliances, wiring new outlets and fixing things the previous owners screwed up...

Evan....

See Santa is supposed to have this magic bag.... but on this one I think he just helped us find it

Cheers

Enjoy Paul, it must be so exciting, when I set up my shop it was probably as much fun as the work itself. My thoughts on Santa is since he really only works one night per year it is plausible that he is a realtor to help pay for his elf shop apprentices

It sounds like alot of us have had a rich holiday season. There is alot we all have to be thankful for...Tim you know that all of us will now want a widebelt sander just so we can say we are in the same league with you and Sylvan (equipment wise)...Michael...there is nothing like a Starret straightedge and you can never have too many engineer squares around.

I would love to have been around Dave's house just to hear his young rockers (very cute pictures). DEW!!! what are you doing getting more BRW...I thought you were retired . My oh my Eric...Starbucks knows me so well they start my order when they see me coming in the front door (really!)...that or I could stop by Dave's and try out his coffee maker that grinds AND brews

With Daniel being armed with Englemann, Ovankol and Grit's book we will see what develops...I just want to hear Joe play his Uke, Djembe and Violin at the same time

Alot of very cool stuff...I hope that everyone has a great year this next year and that all of us stay around...
Dave, great looking family you have.

Ah Christmas in Florida, shorts and tee shirts.

"Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow"
Thanks...they are the best present ever. Christmas in Florida is nice but being from up north...both me and the wife really miss the snow. The kids have never walked in, touched or even seen it in person. So maybe next year a vaca to the mountains in N. Carolina( or anywhere the snow is) will be long past due.

Hey John Mayes, send that lump of coal over here and I'll put it to use...my furnace went out while we were away for Christmas! I did get a really cool cross-sliding vise to replace my small one that I got as a "gift" from Grizzly back in the furniture-building days...and some cash which my wife sweet talked me into adding to her cash for recessed lighting in the den! But, I plan to use that cash "twice" to shop at BobC, or SMac! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! And remember, only 361 shopping days left til...

Hesh you will love bending with the bending fixture and blanket. I am asuming you got either spring steel or Stainless steel slats as well. I use spring steel because of the lack of shape memory it has but I have to wrap my sides to prevent galvinistic stain transfer. I have heard this is not an issue with stainless but stainless does not spring back to flat like the spring steel does. Anyway bending will soon become one of your favorite tasks

I am in the same boat on the drum sander. I have BobC or Steve from Colonial pre-sand for me if I buy from them, then plane and sand for final tuning. If I by from others I use my Wagner Saftey planer and block plane if sanding service is not available from vendor. I had a local cabinet maker letting me use his drum but he passed away this year and his family sold off the shop and machines. I have plans to buy a drum sander later this year.
