Well I am going to be jumping in on this one. If I've got a few weeks than I will take some time to figure out exactly what I want.

Hey Lance,

Can you list the gauges for each string weight designation? I might order more.

Thanks

Shane

Lance I just want a single .012 string. How much?
Thanks for doing this I might just do 1/2 gross of each, let me think for a few days on it. I am just about to do a big string order with a company I deal with regularly so I am not in a huge rush to receive them. I will let you know ASAP.
Thanks again, you rock!
Evan

Lance and Brock,

If they can offer a price on classical strings, I am sure we could come up with a sufficient quantity for them also.

I second what Shawn says about the eventual need for a classical group
buy. Until then, we'll be patient. One string at a time!

Thanks for organizing this Lance & Brock and thanks to D'Addario!
FWI guys!
You have to buy a WHOLE or HALF gross to get the discount.
We will be taking orders for a few weeks, THEN I will place the bulk order with D'Addairo and they can take up to 4 weeks to deliver to me, then I break and ship ASAP. So keep this in mind when making your orders.

Thanks
Lance
Lance,
I'm the head of the Colorado Luthiers guild and I've got a notice out to the group about this. I will place a combined order for the group and then re-distribute to our group locally.

1) is that OK to do or do they need to make their own orders?

2) what is the last date to get my order to you?

Take it offline if you wish.

Thanks,
Alan D.

For logistical purposes, that is certainly fine. One request though... can you ask everyone who will be receiving the strings to register here as a member?

Quick question: how exactly are these strings packaged? Are they like other bulk strings, as in 2 sizes per bag, single long thin bags with boatloads of strings in each one? Mostly I'm trying to think up safe storage without corrosion if each dozen sets (f'r instance) are packaged in one 'set' of packs..

As I understand it they are packaged flat in special non corrossive bags (one bag per string). My plan is to get some PVC pipe, mark each for the string guage then push the wholething (bag an all) in the pipe. I will only cut a small hole in the bag to remove 1 string at a time.

Just an Update, I have had a TON of emails and PM saying " ill take a this or put me down for that."
If you want in, send the funds to our paypal acct, BEFORE we stop taking orders (aprox 3 weeks from now).

It will be virtually impossible for me to get back with everyone that has contacted me and double check with them on how much and if they want anything. I simply don't have that kind of time.

All I am going to do is open the Paypal acct and fill the orders as they are specified and paid for.

SO be sure to SPECIFY what you want in your PAYPAL payment.
I wont be making individual email's about shipping unless you have a shipping balance owed, such as our international friends.

So, if ya want in, get in

Lance

I'm in. I've got more guitars needing more strings, so why not? I'm a light gauge person, but I'll try meds on my build...

Brock & Lance,
Can you confirm exactly how they are packaged? If I'm buying a gross, and splitting with others, then the others will not have corrosive bags if you have one bag per string. I thought they were going to be all 6 strings in one corrosive bag without the outside box. Can you confirm this?
Tracy
