What radius do most use out there? I see many sanding blocks with many different radius. Is there a common radius or what factors determine the radius?

The most common for acoustic is 16" Radius. this is what I use. Some are using a combo 16/18 and 16/20

Frank, I use a 12-18" compound radius. The whys and hows are a whole different discussion and the topic has been argued till we're all blue in the face. It's what I like so it's what I use.
But I would recomend 16" for a constant curve radius. I think most players would be pretty comfortable with that.

I use a 12" normally, I don't normally do compounds but I have in the past done them.

I use a 12" radius. It is my own personal preference and what I started
using years ago.

Here is a bit of in-site from a commission I once did. I had a client that had a finger that was arthritic and it was hard for him to barre on a neck with a flat radii. So before settling on the radius of the fb I made up a 14" 16" and 20" radius FB and had him try them while the guitar was unfinished. He ended up with 14" Another client was an experienced Classical player but was buying a OM steel string, He specified a 22" radius on a neck with a nut at 1 15/16 wide, So there is not necessarily a required standard to follow. That said Martin uses 16" for their production 6 strings. and I believe 18" on their 12 strings.

I use a 12" to 18" compound radius. I make it with a router using this little guy.

Do any of the classical guitar makers out there use a radius
fingerboard. Seems like a slight radius might make the
instrument a little easier to play. I have never done this, but
have others?

I was curious what the difference would be between a 12" and a 16" radius at a point 1" off centerline on a fretboard.
Autocad shows slightly over .010" difference in height at the edge. (about three hairs)
