With Ervin's permission we are posting these 5 videos. These are a short 4 hour presentation that he gave at the 2005 ASIA symposium. Our own Lance Kragenbrink was the videographer and his father did the editing.

Each of these files is about 30Mb. If you have a high speed connection this is plenty large enough to get the files, but if you have trouble we may be able to make them available in another format.

Also, if anyone has spare bandwidth we would be interested in reposting these at other sites to relieve some of the strain of download. Contact us if you can help.

Please download this material and watch it as pre-requisites for the discussion.

A note about ASIA: These videos came from the 2005
ASIA symposium and I think this also showcases the value
that both ASIA provides to its members as well as
illustrates yet one more reason to join this professional
association. You can join by either subscribing to our
OLF MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM which contains an ASIA mebership
and a bunch of other goodies, or via the ASIA Web Site

Colin,

I could be wrong here so this is just a suggestion, if you are just getting text, chances are that the file you have downloaded is fine but the application which is trying to open the file reads in a different format.

All of these files are "Windows Media" files, do you have "Windows Media Player" installed? If not, download and install it, or an emulator, and you should be fine.

Cheers

Kim

No, it worked fine when I used Internet Explorer, just opened up the Windows media player. I normally have no trouble with this on Netscape, it usually does just the same. No problem though I just have to use IE (though I hate it).

Colin, your netscape may not have its mime extensions for .wmv file types mapped to the Windows Media Player executable and therefore did not know how to play or launch a .wmv file. If you add that extension type to the list of file types and the applications that will launch them the WMV files should launch with no problem. There is nothing about the .wmv files that are browser dependent. Every browser has the ability to map file type to what application can launch or play that type file.

Hi Brock

I have put these movies up on my website.

Sent you a PM but don't know whether you got it or not.

If you want to use them, re-post back here and I'll post the URL.

Cheers

Yes, I know several of you have mirrored these files. I am sorry if I have not got them posted yet. Lots of things going on on my end.

If you want to post the URLs to the files... by all means do so.

Thank you again for doing this.
