Just was wondering if anyone has delt w/Cloud Forest? I've written 3 emails and made 2 phone calls from the number on their web site and no answer or no returning of calls from answering machine. Have any of you used Yellow Siris?

Might be on the 30th day of a 31 day cruise?

For those of you that are unaware, this Island that Cloud Forest and I live on {Vancouver Island} is still recovering from a massive windstorm, the worst in recent memory! There were lines down like spagetti everywhere - power & cable is still being restored to remote places, and there is about $100million in damages so far and rising.
Cloud Forest ppl responded to me and said that they had massive problems with thier email and cable internet services on account of windstorm damages - also local servers have been messed up Big Time over here.
So please be patient with them - and perhaps try them once more, as they may have lost the emails via computer crash, due to power failures, or perhaps thier mail server may have messed up etc.
All I know is that they specifically told me they were having these types of troubles.
They wrote me a detailed explanation about how they came to be vendors of this wood and a little about it, how much etc etc
Im sure they will do the same for you.
Cheers

Charliewood,
Thanks for the news. I wasn't aware of their bad weather. It's understandable. I just got a reply back today so thanks for your input.

There are places around the Puget Sound that are still without power and or cable. Many people had their power restored days, even weeks before their cable came back. QWest had to send a Cease and Desist letter to Comcast. Comcast was telling customers that they couldn't begin to get they cable back up until QWest repaired their lines. That wasn't the case. Comcast did a lot of back peddling. And I know there are pockets around there that are still without power or cable. The coffee shops with WiFi have been doing a brisk business. Its not exactly a replacement for your cable modem, but its better than no access at all.

I received a sample of yellow siris from them last year and it looks like a very promising wood, the small sample Robin(the lady owner i think) gave me was tapping really glassy like, i will certainly encourage them as soon as finances will improve.
