Hey I'm new here but CNC and guitars are two of my favorite subjects. Here is a picture of the LP style top I cut on Sat.

If anyone is interested I have lots of pictures of this project. Neck, body, fretboard inlay, etc.

Welcome to the OLF. Looks like your LP is taking shape. Did you shape the top on a CNC mill?

Yeah, I have pretty much done all of the work on this guitar on the CNC. Everything from carving the top and the neck, to the fretboard inlays.

WOW - that looks great!

I just started with CNC and will hopefully be able to rout a LP in the future. I would appreciate to receive more pics at eurospruce@googlemail.com very much.

What software did you use?

Good luck with your project!

Here is a picture of my neck being carved.

Hmmmmm...I tried to link right to my web directory so you could browse through all of my pics, but it doesn't seem to work that way. So here is one more of my neck

I'll guess; Haas VF-3 and MasterCAM.

Looks good, Jeremy. Is the guitar finished now?

Good guesses John. VF-3 and Mastercam is correct. I thought I recognized your name. Probably from the mimf I would guess.

As far as the guitar being finished, I'm gaining slowly but surely. I don't have a ton of money to put into this, so when I ruined my first maple top everything got put on hold. Plus I have two young sons who like my time...Any way my oldest son (he's 5) is starting to get into going to the shop to "help" me, so hopefully this will give me a little more time to work.
