Which is denser and more appropriate for saddle, neck anfd pins bone or the black horn? Any advantages one over the other? |

I have both bone and black horn pins .. i think the bone is denser .. but bone aint ever black !!! |

i think that for nuts and saddles bone is definitrly superior. the horn is just too soft. for pins i would rate the horn roughly equivalent to ebony in performance, but it is much more expensive. i stock ebony for those who "must" have black pins. my standard pins are bone. |
