I'd say that Lance McCollum should be informed to confirm or deny its authenticity...and possibly slam the seller if it's bogus! |

Lance made it for the Heilbsberg Guitar Festival???? I have not heard about that one. ![]() Lance made a mistake putting a redwood top on it. It is a good thing this guy is an expert fiberglasser to fix that little mistake with a nice total fiberglass reinforcement of the top. ![]() ![]() It is nice to have second hand purchasers point out obvious mistakes. ![]() ![]() 8 bids, $900. Sorry Lance. It must hurt to see this guitar on eBay like that |

Hey Paul, I was wondering if I could buy one of your new archtop models, only I have a special request: Could you please finish it in fiberglass for me? I really want it to last a long time, and if it doesn't, at least my kids could sit on it and I could pull them around behind the boat with a good tow-rope. That was friggin hilarious! Maybe he was trying to make a doubletop? John |

Too bad he wasn't an expert in kitchen counters - maybe then it could have had a nice granite color Micarta toplate. I'm sure it would help the sustain just as much as the fiberglass, maybe more....... ![]() |

He is absolutely right. I am still wondering why modern builders have not moved to a solid granite design. |

Oh my, I asked him how thick the coating was, and he said "I used one layer of 6 oz E glass, with polyester resin. It is about 1/8" thick at most." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Refinished in fiberglass? Removed serial number paper because he thought it looked "stupid"?? Mike
No..... as the man said, he thought it looked studip I think this guy may be a bit studip hisself if he put 1/8th" oz of fiberglass on this guitars redwood top. I would pass myself, despite the obvious - it seems sketchy. Cheers Charliewood |
