Hey ya gret bunch of folks, been busy in that shop of mine building the necks for no 3(Michael Payne OLF SJ) and making templates for no 4 (modified Martin O-18), the neighbor from my shop not being at home, it was a very good night to turn on them power tools!

Started by trueing the surfaces of the neck lamination on the jointer...

Same thing for the fretboards...

Made the side and soundboard templates for no 4, on the bandsaw...

Still on the bandsaw to cut the profile of both necks...

2 necks freshly cut!

Starting to look like a guitar!!!!

Shtay shafe folksh!

Totally unattractive but oooh how safe!

Cheers

Looking good my friend!!! I like the way you make your necks. They should be strong ones.

By the way....who is that masked man???

You are making great progress there Serge. The guitar is looking great.

BUT>>>> as for the last picture, you could have warned me.

You came to that last one way to quickly and I was caught off guard and I spit my water out. The cat isn't very happy with me at the moment, but it was her or my laptop. She lost.

Thanks Joe and Greg!

Bruce, i'll try to warn everyone next time there'a an impeding Surge Attack coming!

Lillian, my apologies to you, your cat and your keyboard! Thanks sis!

Yup buddy Ron, i had a very good evening tonight, not only everything went smooth while building and listening to Howard and Dwight Yoakam but i also had 2 visitors that passed by, the first one was my friend Jean-guy who is doing much better than last year BTW, He brought me his late Christmas present...i'll have fun again fitting my gear on my head tomorrow!

Also, Elvis just left the building, he recently purchased a J-200 at Steve's Music in Ottawa and brought it here so that i could play it!

OOOOKAAAAY, he's an impersonator! Serge Poirier39095.0905092593

Serge, great looking stuff there, but the last picture of the monster was a bit scary. It frightened my cat away from the computer....

Thanks fellas!

Anthony, the plan i got is as per the drawings of GD Armstrong on a PROGECAD file, can't remember who sent it to me or if i downloaded it from here, i've saved so many files during the last year that my wife can't even find her own knitting pics, just ain't funny!

Thanks Don, The Bear apologizes to the Cat!

Bob, what's a Calvados please?

Looking good, Serge. That's the same way I do my headstock on the drum sander.

Thanks a lot Ron, yep the drum sander and the bandsaw are the workhorses in my shop especially for neck work, they both do their fair share.
