Hey ya gret bunch of folks, been busy in that shop of mine building the necks for no 3(Michael Payne OLF SJ) and making templates for no 4 (modified Martin O-18), the neighbor from my shop not being at home, it was a very good night to turn on them power tools! ![]() Started by trueing the surfaces of the neck lamination on the jointer... ![]() Same thing for the fretboards... ![]() Made the side and soundboard templates for no 4, on the bandsaw... ![]() ![]() Still on the bandsaw to cut the profile of both necks... ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 necks freshly cut! ![]() ![]() Starting to look like a guitar!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Shtay shafe folksh! ![]() ![]() Totally unattractive but oooh how safe! ![]() Cheers Serge |

You are making great progress there Serge. The guitar is looking great. The cat isn't very happy with me at the moment, but it was her or my laptop. She lost. |

Well, today i done some more Cut the headplate veneers... ![]() cut some strips of coco from the fretboard blank that will serve as fretboard binding... ![]() worked on the back side of the headstock with the sander, the front side was planed with the jointer... ![]() ![]() Could not resist taking another like this ![]() ![]() Thanks for watching! Thanks a lot Ron, yep the drum sander and the bandsaw are the workhorses in my shop especially for neck work, they both do their fair share. ![]() |
