Heres a few more pics of the current build. Closed teh box tonight, got it scraped and initially sanded to 120 and the top sealed. My photo skills are weak--I was going for an ambered top and its not quite as dark as it appears. All I did was take a can of Zissner seal coat 2# cut and add a few tablespoons of Zissner amber shellac. I let it sit for a week and skimmed the amber from the top. It worked out great and I achieved the color I was looking for without tinting. BAck to the gitter--Its an addi top, EIR back and sides, bloodwood b/w binding and backstrip, b/w/b/w top purf to match the D-18 rosette. Shes got Addi Martin pre war bracing. I very pleased the way she turned out, no gaps in the binding and teh routing went smooth as can be with no tearout, it was a joy. Notice the bearclaw in the Addi top--I like it. More to come when she's finished.

I'm with Tom...love that binding.
I'm a sucker for Bloodwood on Indian rosewood.
Once the finish is on that, it's going to look rich!

AF,

I, too, like your wood choices. It looks, well, friendly--and that's a good thing! Your workmanship looks mighty good, too.
