   I was a big fan of Grand Funk Railroad when I was in H.S. but havn't listened much in many many years. I ran across this vid and was pretty impressed for 1969.

    If your a fan of hard R&B driven R&R - Inside Looking Out 1969

    Preemptively, it's a Messenger guitar with taped over f-holes to keep feed back down! Very few of them were made as I understand, and it has it's own onboard fuzz box.

    Everybody plays through Laneys, and yes, it's not an optical delusion, the drummer, Don Brewer, is wearing a fro!!! Not for the squeamish!!!

WOW...what were we thinking then? As I remember, those thoughts might have been just a tad chemically induced...so I've heard

Here's a thought...suppose members who spent their adolescent or later years in the "Age of Aquarius" were to send in pictures of what they looked like and we all try to guess who. Sort of like what Lance did a few months back. Whaddya think? A hippie retrospective!

Hey, I used to listen to them.

I still have the old original "American Band" album with the gold (yellow) colored vinyl. Groovy man.

I'll have to check out the video when I get home, got no sound card at work.

Wouldn't work for me, I didn't grow the long hair until I hit 50 . Hey, its called middle age crazy and I can't afford a Porsche. I'm just waiting for the big sideburns and foo man chu moustaches to come back in style. I was a huge fan of Grand Funk and even have a few of Farner's later Christian albums.

Oh Yeah, We were into Grand Funk back then! I never did get to see them live though

   Yea! As I understand a little town just outside of Flint, proper. There actually, is, a Grand Funk Railroad, in which they're named after. It's now appropriately..... defunct ( I'm so proud of myself for that one )

      You heard correct sir!! I kind of avoided posting because of the obvious drug message, but it's an anachronism, and kind of amusing in present context!
