Hibdon has literally tons of the stuff. I'm sure that you could get the blanks there. Al |

Mr Peebles is right- Hibdon has many such blanks already milled up and ready to go. |

Gilmer Woods probably has both, and lets you select from online photos. They are a great company to deal with- everything they have sent me has been top notch. gilmerwoods.com[URL=gilmerwoods.com] |

Thanks, Jon, I want to use them right away and, althouth I agree with you about Gilmer, their wood, that I have received, need drying for quite some time. ![]() |

Talk to Mark at Gilmer, tell him what you need it for and when you want to use it. All the stuff I've gotten from Gilmer was dry and ready to mill, essentially. |

I've been buying the stuff at my local Lee Valley for the last couple of years. They always have a bin full of scraps at $2.00/LB. Some of it is large enough for fingerboards. I've got many pieces large enough for tailpieces and bridge blanks. I've collected a couple of cubic feet of it so far. Beautiful stuff. |

Thanks for the welcome Serge. I certainly wouldn't call myself a full fledged luthier yet. I've built 4 archtop guitars and an archtop ukulele so far. Looking forward to participating.
