I've just finished a fun afternoon and evening. I've had my 0-16 strung up for a few weeks now so I took the time to do a setup and get the action where I want it. I then polished the bone nut and saddle. I had a couple of small dings in the top from the fretting, so I used a Weller Thermo Boost iron and steamed them out. I leveled things out with 1200 wet/dry and just completed a touchup of the FP. A new set of Elixer nano PB's and I now find myself with a glass of Zinfandel enjoying the evening. All in all, a pretty nice day.

I cleaned up after one kid who is leaking from both ends

Perhaps even worse, I pulled a side off a partially assembled flamenco body that had a suspect joint between the side and top in the waist area, got it all cleaned up, and glued it back on.

Nothing today qualified as fun, but at least the flamenco body looks good now. Hope to get the back on tomorrow.

It was a good day, I:

- Glued the back braces on the curly narra/Bearclaw
    Spruce OM
- Glued the peghead veneer on
- Glued the heel block on the neck
- Started shaping the soundboard braces, tapping away,
trying to learn and understand what I hear.
- Got the sides ready to glue kerfing on tomorrow

Then I vacuumed the kitchen and living room before guests come tonight- since I'm partially retired, and SWMBO is still working full time, I get that as part of my share of the housework

It was a great day for me since I started working on my first.

1) I thickness sanded my Granadillo sides to .080.
2) I bent my first side...(wahoo)
3) I joined my back and tops using a shooting board and plane (1st time)....great results.
4) Glued the back together.

Great to get started.

tore apart my craftsman 6"belt /9" disc combo sander. I just can't get the tracking stabilize and stay put, plus it's got more vibration than I care for.... Maybe a link belt and a new motor pulley. And course a new belt. Shredded that one pretty bad

Set neck on my mando. Didn't have dowels to use for the siminoff-style
joint, so I used round pencils; I think myself clever now). Carved the
volute on the neck, did some sanding, glued kerfing on in preparation for
gluing on the back.
