Can anyone share their method of clamping a neck with a dovetail onto the body. I like to see what other methods and options are out there--Sooo, How do you fit and clamp your neck? Pics would be welcome!
Thanks!

I wish i could help you on that my friend, i've only done it once but i don't have pics to show!

IIRC, i think i simply applied pressure from underneath the heal and the top of the fretboard with a long clamp but i'd seriously consider PMing Bruce Dickey on this, i think he's a master at this type of joint, hope it helps, if not, you got a bump!

AF, this is a worthy question, but I'd suggest asking again when the OLF's picture-posting function is back.

two clamps over the tenon, and two on the fb extension. gluing cauls under all clamp pads of course.

i don't have a photo of my own but this will get you to frank ford's photo of the arrangement:

     http://www.frets.com/FRETSPage s/Luthier/Technique/Guitar/NeckReset/00028Reset/00028ResetVi ews/00028reset42.jpg

he only shows the single clamp on the fb extension, but i like to use the second to get more even pressure.
