I've seen a lot of people interested in the Gotoh 510 Delta series tuners.

Would you reccomend these for a 1st build?

By looking at the picture of the tuners, it looks like there is only one screw hole to mount the tuner. It could be that I just don't see all of the details, but
if there is only one mounting hole per tuner, do they stay in place easily or do they try to turn easily?

If you would reccomend a set of tuners, what would it be?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Blain,
The 510s are great. There is a small screw on the back side to stop them from spinning.

Thanks Hesh and Steve.

Do either of you know if the drilling requirements are provided with the tuners? If not, do you know off hand what diameter you prefer to drill for the 510's?

10 mm seems to do the trick nicely....

I think they have the precise measurements at Stew-Mac online...

Yes Alain, you were right. 10mm or 13/32 Inches is the reccomended dia to drill.

I'm all set now, Thanks!

510s are excellent tuners and certainly good enough for a first guitar!!

As for only having one screw, I have a strat copy that I put grovers on in 1989. I screwed down the nut tight, but had lost a couple of the screws (Doh!!) so I thought I'd get them done soon, it'll do for now........

I finally fitted the screws last year!!
