I haven't seen the special, but I know Sting has a Hurdy-Gurdy he plays. Is that what you are thinking of? Here is a link to the Wikipedia page about them. |

I think he was playing his lute. He has a new CD with lute and Elizabethan music. He is kinda good on it and with his singing he is great. |

I believe that it is a Lute, but seems to have 3 fretboards onw od which I have no Idea how he fingers that board. It's a Lute on steriods |
