I went to the mailbox yesterday and there was a large yellow envelope waiting there for me
{amongst the bills }
It was addressed from Cloud Forest and was the sample that Robin offered to send me.
Now folks........
This is really nice wood!
Photos dont do it justice,
I can see that this will make some beautiful guitars right away!!
There was some light flame running throughout the sample I recieved and the colour was really gorgeous gold when wetted with 99%isopropyl{to approximate finished}
the tone was nice and bright, and bordered on the crisp metallic sound we all know and love about good quality BRW, and other revered hardwoods!
Im going to order some right away when I can afford it - for one its "capital N" Nice to have someone so close to me that offers quality Weissenborn sets,
for two judging from the sample I recieved and the photos of finished guitars Ive seen I can tell this is gonna be a good alternative tonewood in the future!
