Brock posted a pic the other day of a killer quilt top tele that he built. So I'm sure there are some here that are building them. |

I'm building one on commission right now - Ash with a flamed myrtle drop top, but my turnaround is horrendous because (a) it's a hobby and (b) I'd rather do acoustics. Jim |

I've got one (swamp ash) tele that needs a finish and some assembly work. I'll be building more, but no clue when. I find electrics sort of relaxing. Less challenging than acoustics, lets me get a bit more experimental with carving and shaping, without haveing to sweat what it'll do to the sound... |

Just finished a Tele yesterday. Flame maple top and neck , ash body. I built it because I got an amp in trade for a guitar I had. Cool Gibson Goltone amp. Blake |

I build Teles & various Tele inspired solid bodies, usually under my "Bluenote" brand. You can see a sample at www.newbergmusiccenter.com click on the bluenote button under electric guitars. The website is quite out of date, I'm waiting for my son to get a break so he can redo it. |

Well, looks like I just bought a Fender 52 reissue. I never thought my bid would hold--but I got a brand new one for less than $1000. Thanks for the the input on Tele's folks. GD, you guitars look beautiful and if I hadn't just got into this one, I would have placed an order. |

I have built several Tele style guitars. I am working on one right now. Most of them have one piece swamp ash bodies painted baby blue. ivoroid binding with Bigsby style maple necks with black plastic inlay on the necks. I will try and post some photos. |

I haven't built a Tele yet, but after watching/hearing Prince's at the SuperBowl I did some searching for his Tele. Turns out he plays a Hohner Tele copy, and some further searching found he now fits them with Kinman PUP's. The Kinman website has some nice sound samples. CrowDuck |

Steve helped me pick out the electronics for mine back when he was playing for James Joyce. He really knows what's up. It was so much fun. *Posting after af scored his tele from ebay - not trying to piggy back on John ![]() |
