Hello friends,

About a year ago I started building a guitar with a design shape similar to a Gibson L-OO.
The box came out very nice.
When I added the neck it bowed up so badly I couldn't
finger any string on any fret.

I am looking for a fellow OLF'er who is willing to take on a commission to help me get a new neck so I can play it and get the neck to an acceptable playability.
If anyone is interested...I can email some pictures tommorrow so you can see what is involved. Perhaps you can work around your regular schedule of building etc.

Thanks so much,

walter
Las Vegas, NV

Thanks, walter

what did you use for the neck, balsa?

seriously, to what do you attribute the necks failure?

did you use a truss rod? if so, why don't you at least attempt to fix the one you have. slack off the truss rod, heat the neck, clamp it straight, or even slightly back bowed, readjust the truss rod.
