Does anyone know of a source for pre carved clasical necks other then LMI.

I have been waiting for 3 months to get my order.

I would be happy to buy one from another source but can't find one.

Madinter appears to have them in either Sp. Cedar or Mahogony. 33 EU each. Shipping would probably be comparable? (Still not too bad compared to the $80 for the LMI necks).

Madinter's website is http://www.madinter.com .

They are really nice people.

While I have not bought pre carved necks from them (I make v joint Romanillos necks), I have seen theirs and they are good. They are still rough but there is plenty of stock to taking it to final dimensions with plenty of room on the head to cut to your design. They offer their pre carved necks with or without an ebony strip inlay, depending on your taste.

I can not compare them to the LMI necks as I have not seen them.

Luisa handles international orders and if you need to call to ask them any questions, she speaks English. She was eductated in boarding schools in England but is Spanish and was a professional Flamenco dancer. I tease her that she speaks both English and Spanish better than I can .

Thanks guys,

I checked them out.  The only problem is the it cost $95 to ship the $33 neck to the USA.  I may have to go that way if LMI does not deliver soon.  LMI has been telling me they will have them in 2 weeks.

The problem is they have been saying that every two week since December of 2006.

The pre-made classical necks would be much nicer if they had a contrasting veneer between the headplate and the neck wood.

You could try making one while you wait on lmii, you might finish before they ship.
