Looking great, Hesh...nice and clean as always. I hear you about the elbow. It gets better after the 4th. You know my thoughts on elbows!  How many sessions have you done? Top only or all over?
On the pickguard, I'm sorry I can't offer any advice...but those Tor-Tis PG's are the slickest! Your plan to wait for several weeks seems reasonable. |

Heshmeister!!! That is looking fantastic my friend!  FP will really make that beautiful curl come alive. I can't wait to see it!
If you don't use that pick-guard, you can send it over to me ... Seriously, I would definitively use one if I were you. I wouldn't want to scratch it when I finally get to try it out!!!  Plus, that is probably the sexiest pick-guard I've ever seen!

Lookin' good there, Hesh! That pick guard looks like just the thing. Can't wait to get started on mine. But dang, I got two others in the works that I need to finish. Got a custom case ordered for it, but no wood yet! Be sure to keep us up to date. |

Hesh-- This is looking very good! I'll be putting a pick guard on the one that I am getting ready to start, though it may be a clear one. Too far away to tell yet! The Greven is a beaut. FP is a pretty good workout, but I think that you are really going to like the finished product. |

Lookin' very purdy there Hesh! Very elegant and stately. Sounfds like this one is a present to yourself? Those Greven guards are the best if you're going to put one on. (I can never bring myself to do it though)

That's looking really nice Hesh, you're going to really love this one, I bet it becomes the one you automatically pick up for a twiddle. The pick guard would look fine, but yes I would leave it a few weeks before fitting to let the finish harden. But maybe a simpler solution to the problem, and certainly the one I would adopt, is to throw away the flatpick, no guard needed then! Colin |

Hi Hesh, Lookin' very good here !. I went without a scratch plate on my french polish , but noticed some small marks developing , (and I don't use a pick ). I was determined to not install one , ,,,,,,,,but did in the end. I found I couldn't relax with the guitar, being too concerned about marking it . I went for the very thin clear one so as to less inhibit the soundboard's movement and look. Cheers Craig |

Hesh Looks great typically I use clear pickguards, but since you are going for a theme,use the Greven guard. If you find a case for it let me know since I am going to build one soon |

Hesh, Have you ever given consideration to using a wood/plastic pic guard. Buy .020 black or white plastic sheet. Wood .020 laminate them together, and bevel edge at 45 degrees. voila, you open pic guard selection to all the woods we know. You obviously can trace the shape

I really like the L-OO! Yours is looking great Hesh! I would definately use that beautiful Greven guard! 
I am going to build one of these after looking at your fine work.Got an SJ and OM to finish first though. Can't wait to see how the FP turns out for you.

Hesh...I love those Greven pick guards. One thing you might consider, however...with FP, it's so easy to repair. If you create scratches...not gouges, with a plectrum, a few swipes with the pad will restore it to normal. I personally don't like to use pickguards and I'm not that fussy about playing scratches. I think it adds a personality to the guitar that says..."I like to be played". I know this goes against your AR personality but I just wanted to add a different perspective. And like Colin suggested...it could force you to practice your fingerstyle technique. |

Hesh, that is some serious eye candy! I love the "lack of bling" that you went for on this one. I do think the Greven pickguard would work well on it though, mostly for historical reasons. Is the Greven L-00 guard a stock item? The packaging kinda makes it look that way. I'd like to get one for the L-00 I'm finishing up now. Just gotta get some finish on the neck and she'll be done! |

Hesh, It's really looking good. That pick guard look great too. However, I think I agree with Craig that you should consider a clear pick guard so nothing detracts from your beautiful guitar. philip |
