I am wondering what some of you think? Do you radius the large brace abovt he soundhole or leave it flat.What are the advantages of the two options? Thanks, Steve H. |

Mine is flat due to the geometry of my top design AND my end block/fingerboard support system...which you can see in the "Jigs and Tools" section of the forum. The brace itself tapers from the center down to about 1 1/2" form each end, where it then is scalloped and is tucked into the kerf lining with the upper legs of the X brace. I adjust my truss rod from the soundhole, so there is a 1/4" diameter access hole drilled in the center of the brace at it's tallest point. |

mine is flat in the middle where the fingerboard extension will be glued, but the last couple of inches on each end have the same radius as the rest of the top. Paul |
