What ever happened to this?

Didn’t we supposedly order strings nearly eight months ago or was I just imagining it?

How does D’Addario feel about the handling of this? They are a fine company and a long time favorite of mine. How about the other fine sponsors here, getting nervous?

Yep, have faith.

We learned a lot on this deal.    Sorry for the delays, but we are zeroing in on this.

Does this mean that we should start praying that we will ever see the strings?
Any projected ETA Brock?
An ETA would be nice. Funny how these threads just slip on down to the bottom and into oblivion.

Faith means believing without seeing...

Brock, do you want to rephrase that?

Well... I hate to say when specifically because I keep getting my foot stuck in a hole, but they are on their way to us as we speak.

As soon as we get them they will be broke down and reshipped to everyone.

Thanks again for the continued patience. I know this has been a struggle. Very soon though... we promise.

Thanks Brock. Sounds like you should receive the strings by the end of this week. Here's how I would envision the next few weeks:

March 30...Brock & Lance receive strings
April 6 ...Strings sent to the gross buyers
April 13...Strings sent to individual buyers

Sounds achievable to me. As a courtesy to those who have patiently waited all these months, let's try to keep this thread bumped up until the orders are filled. I think it deserves a high priority.

I didn't get in on this deal, but if any strings come up without a spot, let me know. bd

Years ago I bought a Taylor Dreadnaught with D'Addario strings. I was amused by the colorful string ends, but kept buying them because they were original equipment on that guitar.

Seems like I might have missed out on this as well, but would like to throw my name into the hat if there are any extras.

No kidding. I am waiting for the part where they ask us where our fork lift is.

:-)

Once we know how many extras there will be we will post it, but at this point it is unclear how many extra there will be.

Been there done that, but what is worse is bridge pins. I'm not sure if you were in on that one a couple of years ago. Grosses and grosses of tiny bridge pins, all different. Did I mention that they were tiny. And when you drop one it bounces for 3 minutes then shoots into a crack where you can't reach it. Oh, and they are tiny.

I'll second the vote for a bump.

Glad to see everyone is behaving here.... humor does seem to be the right approach.

Me? I just ordered 30 sets on the internet. I'm set for awhile. By the way, they got to me in 4 days!!! Imagine that. Oops....shouldn't have said that....

I do have faith, patience is the hard part.

If I lived within an hour of either you or Lance, I'd gladly pitch in and help with the sorting, packaging and shipping.

Can I help with getting labels, boxes, etc. prepared in anticipation of the pending delivery?

Speaking of which: I know this came up before, but can someone remind of me how they will be packed?

They will be packed in corrosion proof bags that Daddario was kind enough to supply with our order.
Then boxed and shipped.
I am expecting to hear from Daddario this week on an exact delivery date. As soon as I hear I will post an update immeaditly. ALSO, when they land in my living room I will get some photo updates as I think there will be String Pandemonium!

Regarding extras, there were several mega orders that backed out over the last month, so we will have some, were not sure exactly how many, but they have been bought and paid for so there coming none the less. Being able to move some of them will ease the financial burden of being stuck with them. Yes I need strings like everyone else, but I dont need a thousand sets

This has been a trying and difficult process, plagued with setbacks and errors, none of which were the fault of Daddario. I personally extend my humble apologies for the elongated wait . What I have learned out of this process is not to bite off more than I can chew. There most likely will not be any further -mega- group buys coordinated by the OLF.
My life has gotten to busy and complicated by things out of my control to put in the energy, time, flustration, and effort for this kind of stuff any longer.

Boohoo, NO WAY, Just a realization that I have more important things to do, and a limited time to do them.

More later!

Flustration, Hey Lance I like your new work, can I borrow it?

They will come I'm sure. I may be able to take another 1/2 gross set, I'll let you know. How much were they again, 1/2 gross?

Lance...on Tuesday, Brock said, "...they are on their way as we speak"

Now you say, "I am expecting to hear from Daddario this week on an exact delivery date."

You have every right to think I'm being a PITA but which is it? We're all big boys and we can handle the truth...either they are in transit or not. If they are not then it seems like Brock has some 'splainin' to do! As you can tell, my patience just disappeared with the loss of someone's credibility.
