Does compensation for acoustic basses and baritones generally need to be same, less than, or equal to a standard steel string?
Do string tension and string size both play a part in that?
What do some of you use as a general rule?

For baritones I need more compensation - particularly on the base strings - but others may build a different way. This is the picture in the other post that is not showing:

On 28-29 inch scales, using the 16-70 Daddario set, I set the bridge slot leading edge forward 1mm for the high B, and set the centre of the slot at about 5mm for the low B. I also use a 3/16 saddle on bari's, so there is more room to move around the break point at the saddle.
