Sometime last year Bob C aka the Zootman offered some very special Black and White Ebony. I have to say it is some of the coolest zoot I have ever seen. It wasn't cheap, but it was stunning. When Bob dryed it out last year, it shrunk quite a bit, so it was a bit small for a OM. Since the LOO has become popular lately I decided to attempt my 1st. Thanks HESH for the inspiration after seeing your tiger Myrtle black top L-OO. WAY COOL Well I bought Marks plans. Adapted them a bit in the Somogyi style and went to work. Since the BW ebony was too small for an OM I thought why not use it for my 1st L-OO. (This one is for me not a customer.) I have decided to go all black and white. The binding will be ebony. The purfling will be a fine black and white rope. Black ebony headstock with white line purfling. Mahog neck with Maple and ebony. B & W MOP rosette. I alway love looking at other pics so I thought I would add some to the pile. I closed the box today!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ahhhh Right on!!! I remember that mint zoot as if it were yesterday... I don't think there were even 10 sets to be had... I was wondering when someone would use it! That is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it under finish! |

Oh man! This is going to be another stunning guitar. I keep falling back on the word stunning, but it the only word that comes to mind as I see all of these guitars that will just knock your socks off. Very impressive. |

That looks good Andy. I especially like the rosette. Very creative, I bet it took a while to cut all those pieces. I have some of that bw ebony that I also got from Bob and plan to make Craig a guitar with it so he can inlay the wazoo out of it. I think the neck will be curly anigre that also came from Bob. |
