It looks really good to me, too! A familiar shape, but with individual elements that make it unique. Well done! ![]() |

I don't understand why Serge didn't just pop in to post thi himself. What's up on that? I guess i'm missing something that seems like it may be a bit petty to me, but then again, that may just be me. The guitar looks very nice nonetheless and I'm sure its new owner will be thrilled with it. Regards, Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars |

Serge is on a spiritual journey. Only he will know when he gets there. I'm just hoping he keeps building and that his journey takes him by this way again! |

Kevin, as you may know, Serge is a very spiritual fellow. He just couldn't post without evangelizing some, cause that's his nature. Unfortunately that runs somewhat afoul of the rules and Serge decided he couldn't post and hold it back, so he is really into his witnessing now and feels that is what he needs to be doing. He's happy and following his calling, but still building, too. I hope my faith is as strong as his some day, I'm working on it. Ron |

I'm not getting something, I guess. I'm as spiritual as anyone I know and feel that same call since it is a commission to anyone who believes. There are just very effective ways to represent your faith and to offer it to others through carefully chosen words and actions without ever crossing any lines that may exist. It's like being an employee on a job working for someone else. You'd better not spend a single second on the clock sharing even your most urgent beliefs. Break time and lunch hour are another story since it's your personal time and is the appropriate time to enjoy personal excahnges with fellow employees and even employers. I've had opportunity to share extensively with fellow employees and have even enjoyed having a former boss as a member of my church for more than 18 years after some of that sharing of what I believe. What drew them into a place where they were even willing to listen or to come and initiate the conversations? The simple fact that when it was time to do what I was being paid for...that's the only thing that I did. Because I showed that level of respect to the people whose dime I was on, I guess I earned an equal level of credibility in their eyes. There is an appropriate time and place...like break time on the job and the PM sections of forums like these. General kindness and excitement about the things we believe are enough to pique the curosity of others as to what makes us different and makes it attractive to them. I'm sorry that Serge felt that he had to leave. His presence was certainly enough to brighten a day for many here...with or without openly sharing things of faith. I just don't understand....and i'm a pastor with tons of time sharing under my belt. This is just life stuff. Regards, Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars |

I vote we either exclude our mate Serge from that particular rule (not fair to everyone else), or to have slightly different rules in the off topics forum and he keeps the religious stuff over there. Now that'd be a compromise, and we might get our mate back. At the Ubeaut woodwork forums, they have an "open slather" forum which you need a free password to get into. No rules at all. It works out fine. It's also a great source for dirty jokes. BTW, You write very well Kevin. I'm always impressed with the way you express yourself in writing (and one handed too). Just thought I'd mention that I noticed. |
