the way I do it...
Stewmac straight edge to keep it lined up. Go bar to protect the backgraft,
and go bars clamping it all down... Not so great detail picture.

Another good tutorial from the Tootmeister. Prolific guy aren't you? That's great Hesh, nice, straightforward process. Easy to follow. It is nice to have these for the basic processes in building. Great for those of us who have little or NO experience. |

Great pics guys! I do it a little different. I glue the braces in first, then shape them, I find it easier to use a plane to shape them if the center strip is not there. Once the braces are all shaped and sanded I piece in the center strip. |

And I second the motion that, at some point, we need to find a place for these pictorials (all of them, not just Hesh's) so that they can be easily referenced. |

I used LMI FG7 white glue for my backstrip, and now the outside of the back has a sunken furrow in the center. I suppose that the water in the glue had something to do with it. Have any of you had the same problem? What type of glue do you use? Thanks, Ray |
