This one has been sort of finished since January but there was a hold up getting our headstock logos. It was built for my partner's daughter Sophie as a Christmas present I did post some pics of this last year during construction. Photo's by Dave's father-in-law, Derek. African Mahogany Bearclaw Sitka Ebony bridge, fingerboard and headplate Ivoroid bindings Neck Mahogany,Padauk,Maple And for those of you that think Dave and I are a pair of dred-heads ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking Bob |

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. The first photo was taken with the guitar sitting on a mirror. Derek is a pro photographer so he was playing with all sorts of effects and lighting. The red curtains and mirror really give it an opulent feel. Hesh - Soph has never played guitar before getting this one. She loves it and is getting quite good in the short time she has been playing. One problem is that her guitar teacher makes her play HIS guitar during lessons so he can play this one. ![]() The finish is Ubeaut Hard Shellac on Z-poxy (with a little stain in the Z-poxy) Rubbed back to 12000 micromesh and not buffed as furiously as the EIR dred I posted a few weeks back) We have another dred out of Padauk and Sitka (just to annoy you dredaphobics ![]() Stephen - Geelong is a great place to live - the only thing it lacks is huge stands of Honduras Mahogany and Brazilian Rosewood ![]() Here's a pic of the logo ![]() Cheers |
