This is the guitar that Keaggy was having a ball playing in the Fender Booth. It's the VG Strat.

It has the standard three single coil pickups.
Then it has a bunch of modelled guitar sounds, including acoustic and 12 string. It has several altered tunings, done electronically, you never have to detune or retune.

Then, it has a Roland Pickup to boot. That, the little blue LED, the two extra small knobs are the only visual difference.

I wouldn't have believed it without hearing the master himself shredding on it. This guy knew what to do with it...

Bruce, I'm having trouble finding the video on the site. How should I
navigate to it?

I decided yesterday that I'll be building a strat this summer rather than
another amp. I played a John Mayer strat through my Matchless Lightning
clone that I finished last fall and nearly giggled at what I'd been missing.

James, the video is on my hard drive, no wonder you had trouble finding it. Keaggy knew exactly what to do with all the gizmos on this guitar, like it was built expressly for him. It wasn't. I learned today that the Fender Rep was shooting video while I was shooting clips and stills, like the one above.

Keaggy and Hendrix, can you beat a picture like this one?

Don't be too surprised if you see Keaggy in ads featuring this guitar, I know I won't be.

James, the link above is just the VG Strat site.
