Well, I'm still tooling up for the inevitable and I ran across an ad in my local paper for a Jet 14" band saw and 17" 16 speed Drill Press. They are the older blue color and I just wondered if these are of the same quality as the newer stuff. They weren't extremely old and they were pretty clean. An older gentleman used them in his little basement to make miniature cannons! Just wondered if there were any bugs I should know about before attempting a package deal for the two? Also, as a side note, He had the biggest slide caliper hanging on his wall I have ever seen. It was about 3 to four feet long, made in China. It was made from heavy aluminum and had a full wooden case. Looked very precision. He said he had another and he would sell one. Very interesting old guy |

I have an older jet jointer that I dont have any problems with ( a blue colored one). I bought it used and it works like a champ. I also have one of the newer 14" jet band saws... no problems there either.
