For any of you designing segmented rosettes, the following site will generate custom polar graphs and produce the output as .pdf’s for printing.  It will allow you to specify both the number of radial and circular grid lines which is quite useful for setting up the base geometry of your rosette designs.

thanks for the heads up doug. i've already bookmarked the site.

it will come in very handy when it comes to designing a rosette to use the beautiful spalted maple recieved from that which mike hammond recently so generously offered to the forum.

I have one of these Cassinger templates, that turners may know about, for laying out segmented bowls. It should work well for rosettes, though I haven't tried it yet.
